A major problem schools face in providing the structured literacy students with dyslexia need is a teacher work-force that is commonly underprepared to deliver this instruction. This is no fault of the teachers, but rather of the credential programs that fail to prepare them with the knowledge of the science of reading and skill in evidence-based teaching practices.
