On Thursday, June 5, Assembly Bill 1454 passed unanimously on the Assembly Floor with 75 aye votes.
The next stop for this bill is the Senate Education Committee with a hearing anticipated to be scheduled between mid-June and mid-July. If AB 1454 continues with success in that committee, the bill will then move to Senate Appropriations, followed by the Senate Floor, and finally, providing the success endures, the Governor’s desk to be signed into law.
